Dear Islanders,

Firstly, we would like to remind everyone to do everything possible to keep yourself and your loved-ones safe. This has been a challenging and difficult time for everyone, and we would like to say a huge thank you to those who have offered messages of support, and to all of you who have been patient while we working through the challenges with which we have been facing.

Upcoming departures

While we are positive about the long-term future of travel to the Caribbean and the travel industry as a whole, we are anticipating further challenges in the short-term. However as travel restrictions continue to change, the well-being and safety of Islanders remain priority ‘numero uno’.

If your trip is affected, you will be contacted by a member of our team no less than 30 days before your departure date. If you haven’t heard from us 30 days before your departure, please get in touch with us via WhatsApp or phone +18683882973. If your trip is more than 30 days away, please wait to hear from us.

If you are thinking of booking a trip after September 30th 2020, please click here to find out how you can book with confidence.

Stay Home.. Stay Safe… Stay Positive

As a company of travelers, we never thought we would one day have to say this: “STAY HOME”, or as we like to say in the Caribbean: “Keep your tail inside”. However we would like to remind you to also STAY SAFE and STAY POSITIVE, as we all play our part in helping prevent the spread of this disease.

Feel free to continue to reach out to us via email or via WhatsApp +18683882937 with any additional questions you may have.

Regards,

Roger K.

We have taken the tough decision to cancel all Culture and Adventure Travel experiences for the rest of 2020. This includes the Curacao North Sea Jazz Festival and The Word Creole Music Festival in Dominica. The team will be using this time review and see how we can improve these offerings for 2021. All payments made towards these experiences will be refunded on or before August 31 2020.

As you may be aware, in light of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Government of Jamaica has postponed Jamaica Carnival until October 25th 2020.

We know that this is disappointing for everyone, as we were all looking forward to jamming on the streets of Jamaica in April with our fellow Islanders. I myself was looking forward to celebrating my birthday with you.

For those of you who chose to re-book:
Our Jamaica Carnival experience now runs from October 21st to October 27th 2020. We have already re-booked your hotels for the same duration, so plan your flights accordingly and please notify us of any change in travel dates provided by the airlines. Your costumes are still good to go, which just leaves the fetes. So far not all events have confirmed new dates; we will continue to communicate with you as they do. You currently do not have to take any further action until we contact you to re-confirm your fete list.

The new date for the final payment towards your experience is August 01 2020.

For those of you who opted for a refund:
Unfortunately, Bacchanal JA, Xaymaca and Xodus have all opted not to provide refunds to customers and are instead asking customers to resell costumes. As a result, we are left with no option but to provide you your full refund as follows.

In the first instance, we will be refunding you your payments less the full cost of the costume you chose. Each of you will be notified of the amounts that will be sent to you. If the cost of the costume exceeds the amount you paid towards your Soca Islands experience to date, we won’t be able to process your refund at this time.

We will make every effort to sell your costume on your behalf (no guarantees) and process your refund when we have collected the payment from the buyer.

How will refunds be processed?
You will be refunded using the same payment method(s) you used. If the original charge underwent currency conversion, the refunded amount is converted back using the same process.

For credit card payments, there are no fees to refund a charge, but the fees from the original charge are not returned and you will see the refund as a credit approximately 5-10 business days later depending on your bank. For Zelle payments, there are no fees.

We will start processing refunds on or before Tuesday March 31st.

As you may be aware, in light of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Government of St. Lucia and relevant stakeholders have decided to cancel this year’s carnival celebrations. We know that this is disappointing for everyone, as we were all looking forward to jamming on the streets of St. Lucia in July with our fellow Islanders.

Refunds
Due to the decision taken by the mas bands not to provide refunds to customers, we are providing refunds to you as follows.

In the first instance, we will be refunding you your payments less the cost of the deposit we paid towards the costume you chose. Each of you will be notified of the amounts that will be sent to you. If the cost of the deposit for the costume exceeds the amount you paid towards your Soca Islands experience to date, we won’t be able to process your refund at this time.
