Arrive in Nairobi at your convenience and settle into your accommodation.
In the evening, meet your guide and fellow travelers during a welcome briefing. You can then choose to join an optional group dinner at the hotel an ideal way to connect and kick off the adventure

Journey through the dramatic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley en route to the iconic Masai Mara Reserve. In the afternoon, head out on your first wildlife safari drive, spotting animals across one of Africa’s most renowned game reserves.

Spend the day exploring the Masai Mara in search of its abundant wildlife.
Enjoy thrilling game drives with opportunities to spot the Big Five, followed by a relaxing afternoon back at camp.

Depart the Mara and reconnect with your overland vehicle. Stop for a memorable farm-to-table lunch at a community-supported café before continuing to Lake Nakuru National Park for an afternoon wildlife drive.

Begin the day with a morning safari around Lake Nakuru, known for its rich birdlife and rhino population. Afterwards, travel onward through Kenya’s countryside to Eldoret.

Cross the border into Uganda and continue to the vibrant capital city of Kampala. Arrive in the late afternoon and settle in for the evening.

Travel south, crossing the Equator along the way, before arriving at the stunning Lake Bunyonyi. Surrounded by terraced hills and dotted with islands, this peaceful lake offers time to relax, explore, or enjoy a refreshing swim.

Set out for an unforgettable trek in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Hike through dense rainforest alongside experienced rangers in search of endangered mountain gorillas an incredible and rewarding wildlife encounter.

Enjoy a full day to explore Lake Bunyonyi at your own pace.
Choose from activities such as canoeing, hiking, birdwatching, or simply relaxing by the water before regrouping in the evening.

Travel north through Uganda’s scenic countryside to Kalinzu Forest Reserve.
Spend the afternoon at leisure, taking in the surrounding landscapes and preparing for the next day’s adventure.

Start early with a guided chimpanzee tracking experience in Kalinzu Forest.
Later, visit a tea plantation before continuing to Lake Mburo National Park, where you can opt for a boat cruise or explore on foot.

Travel back across the Equator and stop for lunch at a community-supported café along the way. Continue to Jinja, Uganda’s adventure capital, arriving in the evening.

Spend the day exploring Jinja your way. Choose from exciting optional activities such as white-water rafting on the Nile, mountain biking, or simply relaxing and soaking up the atmosphere.

Cross back into Kenya and enjoy a scenic travel day through the countryside.
Arrive at your campsite near Eldoret in the evening and unwind under the stars.

Return to Nairobi, travelling through Kenya’s picturesque landscapes.
The tour concludes upon arrival in the city.

Fly into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, and out of Entebbe International Airport.

Yes. If you arrive on Day 1 of your adventure or book pre-tour accommodation with us, your airport arrival transfer is included. If you choose alternative pre-tour accommodation or arrive by another mode of transport, you’ll need to arrange your own arrival transfer.
Our arrival transfers are private to Soca Islands and are organised in groups based on flight times. Sometimes this means a short wait at the airport until other flights arrive.

There are no scheduled activities on the final day, so feel free to book your departure at your own convenience.

We recommend arriving before 3 pm on Day 1 to make it in time for the welcome event. But don’t worry no matter when you land, we’ll have an airport transfer ready for you.

Excluding alcohol, we suggest budgeting around USD $40.00 per day for extras.
