Dear Islanders,

As COVID-19 continues to create global uncertainty, we have made the difficult decision to further suspend all of our non-carnival experiences through to January 31, 2021. We can’t stress enough how disappointing it is for us to post that, however the safety and security of our Islanders, along with that of our staff and partners, have always been most important to us. Since we don’t know what the rest of the year has in store, we feel this is the right thing to do.

This provides our Islanders with assurance and the flexibility to postpone their trip to be fully enjoyed at a later date.

We thank you for your patience and understanding in these unprecedented times and we are communicating as efficiently as we can. We will get to everyone – and are working with customers on a priority basis.

We are respectfully urging patience as we work through this period with you. Please read the information on this page to find answers to your question before contacting our team.

 

My experience has been suspended – what happens?

We know you were eager to travel with us, so let’s outline the options available for you so we can get you back to exploring the Caribbean with us when we are able – and you are ready.

 

If you’ve already paid for your experience in full.

If you’ve already paid for your experience in full, you can simply rebook your Soca Islands experience now in the same season next year at the price you originally paid. Just give us a call or send us a WhatsApp message and we can help make it happen like we did for many of our Islanders. Or, if you’ve decided to book a different Soca Islands exprience instead, we’re here to help with that, too.

If you’re excited to travel in the future but aren’t quite sure when you’ll be able to go, we’ll provide you with a travel credit worth 110% of the price paid for your experience to put towards another one of our experiences scheduled within the next two years.

 

If you haven’t yet paid for your experience in full.

You can simply rebook your experience now in the same season next year and we’ll put your total deposit towards it. And, if you’d like to pay for your experience in full now, you can book it at the original price. Or, if you’ve decided to book a different Soca Islands experience that’s fine.  Just give us a call or send us a WhatsApp message and we can help make it happen like we did for many of our Islanders.

If you’re eager to travel in the future but aren’t quite sure about timing, we’ll automatically apply the full amount of your total deposit to your Soca Islands account so it’s ready to go when you are. Your payment(s) will never expire.

 

Oh, and a few more things …

Regardless of the payment made, if we don’t hear from you about rebooking in the few weeks after you’ve received your suspension notification email, you’ll automatically receive a second email with details of your travel credit, or deposit.

We understand this is a very difficult time for everyone and that some people are facing exceptionally hard circumstances. Please know we are doing our very best to help you.

 

What if I have booked an experience that departs after January 31, 2021?

Currently, experiences scheduled after January 31, 2021 are scheduled to run as planned. We are choosing to leave the door open to the current situation changing in a way that means people can travel again, as we still believe travel can be a force for good. That said, we understand that some people may feel uncertain about their bookings for dates in the following months. So, if you’re booked on an experience which departs up to and including April 30, 2021, you have a few options.

I booked my Soca Islands experience with a travel agent and not directly with Soca Islands, what should I do?

Please continue to deal directly with your travel agent. Soca Islands is committed to working closely with our agency partners and to continue to provide them (and you) with the support they need during these uncertain times.

 

Is my deposit transferable?

Yes! Your deposit has been applied to your Soca Islands account and it is completely transferable meaning you can easily give it to anyone of your choosing.

 

Is my travel credit transferable?

Travel credits are not transferable, however they do have a 2-year expiry from the end of the month of your departure date. For example, if you were issued a travel credit for a trip that was scheduled to depart on August 15, 2020, you can use it on trips departing until August 31, 2022.

 

Can you please tell me about your Book with Confidence policy?

Yes! Our No Worries Booking policy lets you cancel and rebook your experience closer to the time of departure. This gives you added flexibility and peace of mind. Experiences can be cancelled and rebooked up to 30 days prior to departure. Terms and conditions apply.

 

What are you doing to help me feel more confident to travel again?

Rest assured that we are more committed than ever to making your safety a priority as you get back out to enjoying the natural wonders of the Caribbean. Our No Worries Travel policy  features new health and safety procedures on all of our experiences from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, without taking away from having the time of your life. We’re hoping these additional measures provide you with reassurance that we are prioritizing your safety on your travels with us.
