This Image Policy was updated on October 22 2026
This policy explains how we use photos and videos of our trips, including ones you share with us. It works together with section 18 of our Booking Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
This version applies to bookings made on or after 22 October 2026. Bookings made before then remain under the version in force when they were made.
1. PHOTOS AND VIDEOS WE TAKE
Our hosts and photographers may take photos and videos during trips. We may use them to promote Soca Islands on our website, social media, emails, digital brochures and advertising, and we may share them with partners who help us promote our trips.
2. PHOTOS AND VIDEOS YOU SHARE WITH US
This includes content you send us in feedback or reviews, post in a Soca Islands WhatsApp group, tag us in on social media, or enter into a competition or blog. When you share content with us, you confirm that you took it or have permission to share it, and you allow us to use it in the same ways as section 1, without payment. We will credit you where practical.
3. YOUR CHOICE: OPTING OUT
You can opt out at any time, when you book or later, by emailing hello@socaislands.com with your name, your trip and a description or copy of the images. We will tell our hosts not to feature you, remove images of you from our own website and social media channels, and stop using them in new materials within 30 days.
We cannot recall printed materials already distributed or content already shared by other people or by other travellers on their own accounts.
4. PEOPLE IN YOUR PHOTOS
If you appear in a photo someone else shared with us, you can ask us to stop using it in the same way, even if you did not take or share it.
5. OTHER TRAVELLERS
Please ask before photographing or posting other travellers, and remove content if they ask you to. See our Customer Code of Conduct.
6. PERSONAL INFORMATION
Photos can be personal information. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle it and your rights.
