Norway, Sweden and Denmark share a language family, a love of design and a long coastline, but each capital has its own rhythm. Over eight days you'll move from Oslo to Stockholm to Copenhagen and feel the difference in the food, the streets and the way people spend their evenings.

Oslo comes first: a guided walk past the Royal Palace, the marble roof of the Opera House and Akershus Fortress, with tastings of Norwegian waffles, cheese and hot chocolate along the way, then a floating sauna in the harbor and a jump into the fjord.

Stockholm gets three nights. You'll cook a traditional Swedish supper in a hands-on class, wander the medieval lanes of Gamla Stan, stop for fika, step aboard the 17th-century warship at the Vasa Museum and take a ferry out into the archipelago for lunch among the islands.

A short flight takes you to Copenhagen, where a guided bike tour shows the city the way residents see it, followed by an afternoon at Tivoli Gardens and a guided beer tasting before the farewell dinner.

Expect a brisk pace, three group dinners and plenty of time to connect with a small group of fellow travelers, many joining on their own.

Why This Journey

Three countries in a week can easily turn into a blur of stations and check-ins. This route gives each capital a real chance: two nights in Oslo, three in Stockholm and two in Copenhagen, with one signature experience in each that locals would recognize as their own: the sauna and cold plunge, fika and Swedish home cooking, and getting around by bike.

It suits travelers who want a first look at Scandinavia with the logistics handled, and solo travelers who'd like company at dinner without giving up their free afternoons. By the end you'll have a feel for how three neighbors who look alike on a map live quite differently.

Group itinerary

Arrive in Oslo and make your way to the hotel in the city center. Check in, take a breather, and if you have the energy, walk down to the waterfront by the Opera House.

In the evening the group meets for welcome drinks, followed by a first dinner together where Italian cooking gets a Nordic twist. Afterward, stay out for another round or turn in early. It's up to you.

Meals: Dinner Overnight in Oslo

A local guide shows you Oslo's highlights: the Royal Palace, the sloping marble roof of the Opera House, which you can walk right up onto, and the old walls of Akershus Fortress above the harbor. Along the way there are stops for Norwegian waffles, local cheese and hot chocolate.

Later, head to the harbor for a floating sauna. Heat up, jump into the cold water, repeat: it's how Norwegians have unwound for generations, and it's a lot more fun with a group cheering you on.

Meals: Breakfast Overnight in Oslo

You travel to Stockholm and arrive in the afternoon, with time to browse the cafés, record shops and vintage stores of Södermalm.

This evening you cook traditional Swedish food in a hands-on class, sit down to eat what you've made, and then head out to see Stockholm after dark.

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner Overnight in Stockholm

Morning begins in Gamla Stan, the old town of cobbled lanes, narrow alleys and ochre and red facades. Pause for fika, the Swedish coffee-and-pastry break that's almost a daily ritual here.

Then visit the Vasa Museum, home to a 17th-century warship that sank on its maiden voyage and was raised almost entirely intact more than 300 years later. The afternoon is free for the waterfront, the neighborhoods or a long café stop.

Meals: Breakfast Overnight in Stockholm

Take the morning slowly. Later, a ferry carries you out among the thousands of islands off Stockholm, where you visit a museum and have lunch with the sea all around.

Back in the city, the rest of the day is unplanned: a sunset walk along the water, a final look around Södermalm, or an early night before tomorrow's travel.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch Overnight in Stockholm

A short flight brings you to Copenhagen. After check-in, a guided bike tour shows you the city from the saddle, from its Viking and royal past to the canals, harbor baths and relaxed neighborhoods of today.

Spend the evening with the group along the harbor, in the parks or out in the neighborhoods.

Meals: Breakfast Overnight in Copenhagen

After a slow morning, spend the afternoon at Tivoli Gardens, which has been delighting visitors since 1843 with its rides, gardens and shows.

Then comes a guided beer tasting and a last group dinner and drinks to celebrate the week.

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner Overnight in Copenhagen

Share one more breakfast with the group before heading off. Keep in touch, or start planning where you'll all meet next.

If your flight leaves later in the day, there's time for a last walk along Nyhavn or a pastry from one of the city's bakeries before you go.
