St. Vincent's Caribbean coast is a string of fishing villages, black-sand coves and green hills that tumble straight into the sea. This day follows it north and back again.

The plan is to reach Dark View Falls early, before other groups arrive, so you can swim under the two cascades in peace. From there you'll visit Wallilabou Bay, where Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed, stopping at viewpoints and small shops along the coast.

The afternoon is for Buccament Bay's white sand, and on the way back you'll climb to Fort Charlotte for sweeping views over Kingstown.

A local guide shares stories of the island throughout, and transport is taken care of.

Why This Journey

In six hours you see the whole leeward side of St. Vincent: a twin waterfall, a film-set bay, a white-sand beach and a hilltop fort, with a local guide explaining what you're looking at along the way.

It's well suited to cruise passengers and short-stay visitors who want a varied first look at the island, with a swim or two built in.

Good to Know

The tour lasts about 6 hours, starting and ending at the cruise terminal in Kingstown. Bring swimwear for Dark View Falls and Buccament Bay.

Group itinerary

Your guide collects you at the cruise terminal in Kingstown and shows you around the capital before turning onto the Leeward Highway.

The road hugs the Caribbean side of the island, passing through small villages where your guide points out local life and history.

Arriving at Dark View Falls ahead of the crowds means you can wander the trail and swim under the twin cascades with room to spare.

At Wallilabou Bay you'll see where scenes from Pirates of the Caribbean were shot, with time for photos on the waterfront.

Heading back south, the drive pauses at lookouts and local shops for photos and souvenirs.

Then it's time for Buccament Bay: swim, snorkel or simply relax on the white sand.

On the way home you'll stop at Fort Charlotte, set on a ridge about 600 feet up, to explore the museum and look out over Kingstown.

The tour finishes back where it began.

Yes. If you arrive on Day 1 of your adventure or book pre-tour accommodation with us, your airport arrival transfer is included. If you choose alternative pre-tour accommodation or arrive by another mode of transport, you’ll need to arrange your own arrival transfer.

Our arrival transfers are private to Soca Islands and are organised in groups based on flight times. Sometimes this means a short wait at the airport until other flights arrive.

There are no scheduled activities on the final day, so feel free to book your departure at your own convenience.

We recommend arriving before 3 pm on Day 1 to make it in time for the welcome event. But don’t worry no matter when you land, we’ll have an airport transfer ready for you.

Please Refer to your government’s travel advice or consult your local consulate. Remember, passport and visa requirements can change, so make sure to stay updated.

Excluding alcohol, we suggest budgeting around USD $40.00 per day for extras.

We believe solo travelers shouldn’t have to pay extra to explore the world. That’s why our group trips are designed around shared accommodation and do not include a single supplement. Solo travelers joining our group trips are paired in twin or multi-share rooms with another traveler of the same sex for the duration of the trip.

Some of our Independent trips are structured differently. For these itineraries, solo travelers will need to book at the single occupancy rate.
